Card Jitsu Fire

Club Penguin Journey

Overview and Basics

Gameplay and Rules

The objective of Card-Jitsu Fire is to defeat your opponents by reducing their health to zero. Health is tracked with energy points. All players begin with 6 energy points. Players can gain or lose energy points through traditional Card-Jitsu battles or by playing the highest-numbered card within a selected element (fire, water or snow).

When you first enter a game, you will be met with a circular game board that consists of an inner and outer ring.

On the left side of your screen, you will see your penguin and your deck of cards directly under it. Your opponents can be found on the right hand side of the screen.

Additionally, your penguin's total amount of energy points can be found on the lower left-hand corner of your penguin's box. During any turn you play, a timer counting down from 20 seconds can also be seen on the right-hand side.

On an Element Tile, the player who landed on the tile gets to choose the element (fire, water, or snow) for the next round.

On a Duel Tile, a standard Card-Jitsu battle takes place between the player who landed on the tile and another player of their choosing.

However, there is an exception: players can trigger the Duel by landing on the same tile as an opponent.

In any duel, the winner gains an energy point while the loser loses an energy point.

The Inner Circle

Upon your turn, the tiles in the inner circle will spin and glow yellow.

During their turn, players must select a tile from the inner circle, which will determine the number of steps they move from 1 to 6 in the outer circle.

The tiles on the inner circle are shuffled so players will choose their tile randomly.

To choose a tile, click on it, and it will then turn over to reveal how many spaces your penguin can move on the outer circle in both a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction.

The tiles on the outer circle that you can choose will also glow yellow.

The Outer Circle

Tile Types

There are five tiles that players can land on: Fire Tiles, Water Tiles, Snow Tiles, All Element Tiles, and Duel Tiles.

On a Fire Tile, Water Tile, or Snow Tile, all players must play a card with the corresponding element from their deck.

Card Types

Cards have two key parts to them: the element they represent, fire, water, and snow, and the number value they represent: 2 through 12, with power numbers being 9 through 12.

The higher number wins if the elements are the same (i.e. a fire, water, snow or elemental tile).

Any cards that you can play during an element round will glow and have a yellow arrow pointed at them.

If you are unable to play a card due to not having the selected element, a recycling can will appear, and you will be able to burn a card. In most cases, it's best to remove the lowest-level card of an element you have more than one of in your deck.

In a duel, the elements follow the same rock-paper-scissors rule as in standard Card-Jitsu.

Fire beats Snow.

Snow beats Water,

Water beats Fire,

If you lose a round, you lose one energy point. Energy points can be gained back by winning in duels.
